Ahh the dulcet tones of Lesley Gore, whos’ 1963 single took a strange irony last night as Anto lost a heads up birthday battle... and didn't cry. Instead it was congratulations all round to our newest APT Champion Amanda. Our new champ arrived late to the table, having blinds put in, as she ate out.

But the highlight of the night was dynamite DOS, as Theo knocked the FCUK out of half the table. He gave the old one, two K.O. to Dave and Lexx who after buying in, went all in, on their next hands. Theo having none of it, pulled another KK or AA or QQ or KK out to say “oh no you don't!”

Bridge was our first exit, while Sam, Dug & Brook hung in consecutively, but were dealt rags until the all in’s where brushed aside by the bigger stacks.

Pete, Anto, and the newly arrived Amanda, where all that sat in the way of a big victory for Thez. And after Pete's all in went any which way but loose, it was a three way battle. Theo sat out most of the next hour, letting Anto and Amanda battle it out, with a number of split pots. When Thez did wade in, it was to put Amanda all in.... to which she replied...."Uh I guess so, I'm not good at this game anyway"....to which Theo took a smack in the face and a hit in the chips, when time after time, she had the nuts!

Anto, biding his time, made some signature moves, and before anyone could say "Supercalifragilistic expialidotious" in Chinese (northern province dialect) Theo was out for the count, having become weary from the flurry of knockouts earlier. He had become punch drunk by the constant jabs from Anto and low-blows from Amanda.

Q: What do you get when you rub your body in pigs blood, grab a couple of fresh steaks, and jump into the middle of the ocean wearing only your birthday suit?

A: DA da DA da...DA da DA da.....dundundundundundun.....ARGHH!!!!

It was a feeding frenzy as Anto reached for his Batman Shark Repelent(TM). To and fro went the chips, but in the end the Grey Nurse looked up from the table with a bloody grin, and was pronounced APT Champ!

Special congrats to the House of Pain for a great night with such a large field. Happy Birthday to Anto who was unlucky not to have a birthday victory, but was blessed with our company, and isn't that what it's all about. (personally i'd rather the money - editor)
