Go that way really fast. If something gets in your way, turn.

Proposal for a poker night at the snow. Late August, early September. Expensive but memorable weekend of roadtrips, beer, snowbunnys, snowballs, poker, weeping, drunken fondling, laughter and disgraceful chairlift dismounts. Discuss

Congratulations Dave - 2 time APT Champ

After being short stacked for the first half of the night, Dave (ddsmen) kept his cool and took control to out wit and out play all at the table. Weathering the storm of buy backs from a number of poker pros, Dave maintained a steady hand and a strong heart. After the early chip leader Dougal was eroded to the point of 3rd place, Dave went heads up against the strong chip leader Pete. After a monster heads up session, where swings went either way, it was Pete who was left with the bitter taste of a devastating 8 hour defeat to the poker prowess of Dave. Dave has now secured his 2nd APT final table win. With each game being fought over harder and harder, who will be next weeks winner?

The Australian Poker Tour is back on a Saturday Night, and back at the House of Pain. The 25th of June could see a new poker champ take the glory for the first time. Discussions will also be held on the night regarding the poker chip upgrades (who wants in, what types, how much). As no one seems to be commenting here on the blog.

APT Poker Chip Telethon

The Australian Poker Tour is proud to announce its association with the “Help Us Help the Chips Grow” Poker Chip Telethon. This year, like previous ones, we hold a nationwide telethon to raise money for those unfortunate poker chips out there. Poker chips that are malnourished, full of impure plastics and cheap graphics. These chips or “Tazo’s” as they have been so cruelly labeled, need our help. Only the support and monetary donations of the poker community can save these chips from a wretched death of discolouration , wear and snapping. With your $40 (non-tax deductible) donation you can have these miserable chips replaced with thicker, better, heavier chips. Chips that are made of natural clay, weigh between 11 and 13 grams. Full healthy chips, with bright colours, and smooth edges. Your donation will also provide new housing from a giant silver case. No longer will the chips live in the shanty towns of tin boxes. We will be taking donations over the ...

APT Official Results 11/06/2005

The latest round of the Australian Poker Tour was held at the world famous “House of Pain” with a record turnout of 10 of the countries finest pros. Located in the leafy suburb of Armadale, the House of Pain, or HOP, is the home ground of some of Australia ’s toughest poker champs. So far this year the HOP has lived up to it’s formidable name, as no outsider has been the last one sitting at the final table. But like all fairy tales (or nightmares) it had to come to an end. And so this week the House of Pain has become the House of Joy for now 3 time APT Champion Brook (Yellow Fly). In what was a tournament full of early frantic betting, cool calls and big all-ins, history was made, and the path of a future champ was paved in her début appearance. Final Standings and Prize Money 1 st Brook (Yellow Fly) $170 2 nd Amanda (-) $20 3 rd Dougal (atrophy) ...

Welcome to the Australian Poker Tour (APT). This is in no way affiliated with the World Poker Tour, or any other Poker Tour. It's just a group of guys and gals who play poker a couple of times a week, in Australia , at different locations (hence the tour part). However we will try and bring you all the glitz, glamour, prizes, surprises, bad beats and hot streaks that surround our humble game. The name of the game is No Limit Texas Hold'em - The Cadillac of Poker. Where fortunes can be won or lost in a single hand. This is the Australian Poker Tour.
